We believe that young people are part of the solution to improving disadvantaged areas. We help them to participate in their local communities and provide a range of positive activities, building confidence and self-esteem.
We also give young people opportunities to take part in training and gain the expertise for work. And we work with schools to support ‘at risk’ young people, providing them with positive experiences and building the skills that will allow them to move forwards with education or training.

Location: Leeds 2012 sees the 25th anniversary of Groundwork Leeds. Find out how the Trust began and explore some of the wonderful projects we've been involved in with local people over the last quarter of a century.
Location: Bramley Primary School, Leeds Groundwork worked with children and parents to build a cob oven as part of the school gardening area. This was run as an after school extracurricular activity to bring parents into the school community.
Location: Leeds The Junior Wardens project has given young people from Halton Moor the chance to get involved with environmental issues in their local area, as well as build confidence and team-working skills.
Location: Keighley Groundwork worked with 200 pupils from Long Lee Primary School to explore how the curriculum could be taught outside, and investigate the benefits of outdoor learning.
