Location: Hull Groundwork in Hull secured funding from Marks and Spencer through the “Greener Living Spaces” programme as well as funding from Gateway in Hull and Hull City Council’s Playbuilder allocation to make improvements to Pulman Street in Hull.
Location: Castleford Project to deliver waterfront public realm improvements and 1.2km of riverside cycle route.
Location: Wakefield A residential scheme for Wakefield & District Housing to improve the landscape of communal areas around three blocks of flats in Wakefield. Delivered in two phases.
Location: Pontefract The aims of the project commissioned by Wakefield & District Housing were: • To change the physical and visual appearance of a run down residential square with poor front boundaries, unkempt front gardens, abandoned garages and decaying concrete surfacing. • Achieve a well designed new residential square with very high quality materials and finishing. • Create a design template that could be adopted for regenerating other parts of the large Chequers Estate.
Location: Castleford Major refurbishment of the main area of public open space within the Whitwood Estate, Castleford for Wakefield & District Housing. Improvements include, car parking, a resident’s garden, boundary improvements a ball games area and stimulating creative play with natural materials.
Location: Selby Working with six schools in Selby teaching students about Selby's history in dance, drama and music.
Location: Selby Working with Selby Civic Society a museum style week was organised which displayed artefacts of importance to Selby's history.
Location: Scarborough Groundwork has developed and innovative £277,000 project to tackle the need to improve the Cinder Track and High levels of unemployment in Scarborough Borough.
