Blue Sky
Blue Sky is almost certainly the only company
in England where you need a criminal record to get a job. People
selected will receive support tailored to them and the employers
needs.The aim of Blue Sky is to help people with a criminal record
gain the skills to become a good employee and get a chance to make
a better life.
Being part of a small team, work would involve grounds
maintenance which could include planting, weeding, digging and
fencing.
Groundwork Wakefield in partnership with West
Yorkshire Probation are delivering the Blue Sky
programme. Support, including group and individual training
covering job search, workplace expectations, team working and
employability skills is provided.
Who Can Apply?
Anyone who is a current client of West
Yorkshire Probation Trust. (Some restrictions apply).
What else can I get?
When you complete the programme you will leave
us with any qualifications you have completed and six months work
experience to add to your CV.
And after Blue Sky?
You will be assisted in finding the right
career path for you, building on the skills you will have learned
whilst working and perhaps seeking further training to complement
those skills. We will track your progress and assist where we can
in the future.
