Without people in meaningful work, communities cannot function. We help people to retrain, gain confidence and gain valuable work experience. From structured volunteering to formal placements with employers, we help people move on a journey towards sustainable employment.
Our specially trained staff can provide the following:
Through a step by step guidance process, the Skills and Training Team engage with local people to identify their barriers to employment.
Here at Groundwork Wakefield we have a dedicated team to match people's skills and experience to local jobs.
A sensitive support process is provided to all participants throughout their employment and/or training making sure the individual is achieving and acquiring the confidence to secure their future.
With the support of the Skills and Training Team, participants get the chance to access appropriate training opportunities and the chance to gain nationally recognised qualifications to progress into further training and employment.
