We employ a unique range of specialist staff. These include:
Community development workers and project officers – enthusiastic, patient and creative, they work closely with individuals and community groups to make change happen.
Landscape architects – Groundwork nationally is the largest employer of landscape architects in the UK. Our landscape architects combine design expertise with a real passion for making a difference. All of our Landscape Architects hold Chartered status.
Contracts workers – highly experienced in a wide range of hard and soft construction skills. Their work also covers maintenance and conservation projects. Our Contracts workers are also keen to pass on their skills by providing work placements and by supporting our employment and training programmes.
Employment & training specialists – skilled at dealing with the ‘hard to reach’ they strive to motivate those we work with and take them on a journey towards employment. All of our accredited trainers are members of the Institute for Learning.
Education workers – taking our work into schools, they have the skills to work with children and understand the language and aims of the national curriculum.
Business advisors – technical specialists who know what’s important to businesses. They bridge the gap between the aims of environmental policy and the realities of local enterprise, cutting carbon and saving money. Our Business Advisors are IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment) registered auditors at Associate level or above. This demonstrates that Advisors have a good appreciation of environmental issues and are competent in auditing techniques.
Youth workers – working to get the most from young people, whether that’s helping them to be included in the decision making process or developing their skills and confidence.
Corporate Services team – supporting our organisation and our project delivery staff, our Corporate Services team includes Finance, Human Resources, IT, Marketing, Quality & Evaluation, Health & Safety, Reception and Facilities Management.
