We help take practical action to tackle climate change – and we recognise that by doing so we can also reduce fuel poverty and help business be more efficient. Our Green Doctors help people save money on their water, electricity and gas bills; show how to recycle more and waste less together with installing simple measures in homes that will make heat, electricity and water go that bit further. For corporates, factories and offices we offer a bespoke Environmental Business Service that walks staff through the necessary procedures to make sure organisations are on the right side of the law - as well as doing the right thing - when it comes to looking after the planet.
Out in the community, we help to change behaviours and limit personal environmental impacts. We deliver engaging programmes to encourage walking and cycling, healthy eating and growing food.
We encourage the use of renewable energy technologies. Green roofs are our speciality – we’ve been raising their profile for years and have had huge success in greening our local skyline. We've just written the UK code of best practice for green roofs, thanks to European Life+ funding.
