Each year we make an incredible impact on the ground.
To get an idea about the vast amount of work we do, in 2008 alone we delivered 348 community and environmental projects. These involved nearly 20,000 people, almost three-quarters of which were young people, and 76 schools in projects and activities, helping them to take a role in turning their communities cleaner and greener.
We also planted over 1,000 trees which will help ensure a greener future for urban areas and helped improve or maintain over 741,000m2 of land through tasks like grass cutting, strimming and chopping back overgrown shrubs – that’s the equivalent of approximately 74 football pitches!
