Groundwork Leeds was established as a Charitable Trust and Limited Company in late 1986, initially focusing our efforts in south Leeds.
Our founding Chairman, Lord Merlyn-Rees, established the Trust Board of Directors which included the two Company Members, Groundwork UK and Leeds City Council.
In 2003 we expanded our charitable area to cover the whole of Leeds and now also work in Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees.
In 2012 we are marking 25 years of work in Leeds.
