Job Opportunity – Gallows Close Centre A new three-year project has just started at the Gallows Close Centre and we are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and inspiring person to lead the delivery of this exciting opportunity. You will be working with the local community and partner organisations to help transform the Centre into a vibrant, popular, sustainable and locally managed facility. Gallows Close Centre Development Co-ordinator £25,000 per annum 37 hours/week Personal pension scheme (after a qualifying period) 25 days annual leave plus statutory leave. To succeed in this role you will have a proven track record of achieving success through partnership working, be an experienced project manager and have taken a lead in the development, funding and delivery of community projects. You will have excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, a commitment to equal opportunities, an understanding of the local communities’ needs, and be able to motivate and enthuse people. You will have Maths and English GCSE C or equivalent and ideally further or higher education in a relevant discipline The post will require an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Check. You will support the project leader in the preparation and delivery of a community project in Huddersfield aimed at engaging people with learning difficulties, mental health problems and physical disabilities.
Countryside Parks Ranger Wakefield Permanent, Full Time (£18,000 to £20,000) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Countryside Parks Ranger: To assist in the management and delivery of a range of activities that meet the maintenance requirements for both sites (access, amenity, biodiversity) To encourage, through effective community engagement, the safe public use of the Frickley Country Park and Fryston Countryside Trails To organise events on and around the sites to publicise and encourage greater public participation of the site facilities To provide information, interpretation and educational activity to promote the wildlife, vegetation and biodiversity of the sites To work in partnership with all local organisations who have an interest in the sites To liaise with the appropriate enforcement agencies in respect of any issues of mis-use of the sites To deputise for the Senior Ranger as necessary To monitor and maintain all health and safety requirements for the sites.
